St. Vincent de Paul Ministry Update
In the Gospel Jesus tells us: “Whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones to drink Amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward.”
This month, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to “acknowledge the goodness of the Father” by assisting over 400 families, providing food, vouchers, and rent assistance.
If you feel called to do the work of Christ through the St. Vincent de Paul St. John Conference, please call Connie at 715 305-6742. I would love to hear from you and give you more information on this wonderful mission.

Pie & Ice Cream!
Civic Band concerts will be held on four Wednesdays in Columbia Park beginning June 17th. St. John’s PCCW will again be selling pie and ice cream during the concerts as a fundraiser.
As of this time, July 1st and July 29th are the remaining dates for pie and ice cream sales. Come and enjoy a nice piece of pie while listening to some wonderful music by our city Civic Band!
Ladies of the parish may receive a call asking if they'll provide a pie or ice cream. If you'd like to provide a pie, ice cream, or help with the sale, call Cheri Imhoff at 507-993-8740.
We Provide Funeral Dinners for Your Loved Ones!
The Columbia Room of St. John’s has recently had a makeover! The ladies of the parish are once again ready to serve funeral meals for your family. A large variety of meals are offered. The family pays for the cost of the food plus $2 per plate. All leftover food is packed up for the family to take home.
The PCCW ladies also offer to say the rosary for any woman of the parish at the funeral home or in the church per family request.

Uplifting + Inspirational
The Society of St Vincent de Paul – St John’s Conference would like to thank all the Parishioners of St John’s for the great support you have provided, through your time, talent and donations. Below are the numbers of friends and neighbors we supported this past April to June:
Food Pantry-
1,243 people were served and over 107,000 lbs of food were provided.
Fellowship Meals–
1,149 people were served. Meals are served on Mondays & Wednesdays.
Med Clinic-
62 people were served.
Voucher program-
$8,633 in clothing, $1,109 in furniture, $621 in household items and $3,698 in mattresses were provided.
The conference members conducted 15 home visits. The home visit is the heart and soul of Outreach. The visit helps us determine what other needs a family may have, in a dignified manner.
·Without the support of the parishes and the community none of this would be possible.
·Envelopes for SVDPhave been added in the back of church. Your donation directly helps those in need.

Many people would be surprised to learn that the "Home Visits" are the primary mission of this conference!
